Sleep On It!

We were established in 1979 as Waterbed Shack by Virgil & Gary Duncan. I started working for them in 1983 and bought the business in 1987. We have a sister store in Harrisonburg. We offer all kinds of beds (sleep surfaces) waterbeds were where we started then expanded into innerspring and futons. Soon to be followed by air beds and visco or Swedish foam. If you sleep on it we've got it.

Our 'selling" approach is a bit different from most other places. First we really don't run sales. Most furniture store "sales" aren't much of a sale. When you mark up the price to mark it down how much of a sale is that? Also our staff is NOT paid on commission. We're here to help you make the best choice and that may not be the most expensive thing in the store. We want a happy customer that will come back year after year. If we make a mistake we want to correct it. If a bed has a downside we'll tell you. There is no perfect bed (sorry!) so you need to make the best choice you can and that means you need all the relevant information you can get. That's what we're here for.

Along with mattresses we also have a pretty complete line of bedroom furniture (headboards, chests, dresser, nightstands, etc.). Our futon line is very popular and once more we do it a little differently. You pick the frame style and finish that you want, put the mattress on it that best suites you and the cover you like. So the combinations are endless.
